Change: sometimes it’s slow and takes time, other times it’s quick and drastic.
Although the decision to chop my hair was well thought out in advanced,
Spring Cleaning (on my head) was the type of change of the latter.
Not only did chopping my hair give me a fresh, new do,
but it also gave me a chance to give back to others in the process.
Cutting around 12 inches of hair off, I chose to donate it to Wigs 4 Kids:
Wigs 4 Kids Wellness Center and Salon is dedicated to help build the self-esteem of young patients dealing with hair loss as a result from various illnesses such as cancer, alopecia, trichotillomania, as well as burn victims. We are committed to provide free hair replacement systems and support services for our clients (also referred to as Ambassadors) throughout Michigan.
To the kids who freely receive my golden locks of hair,
I hope they remember that they are beautiful just the way they are,
and that they can find their true beauty from within.
